Child Safety Seats

California law requires all passengers to be properly buckled up each and every time they ride in a vehicle. Children must be in a car seat or booster seat from birth to at least 8 years of age, or until they have reached a height of 4 feet 9 inches.

Find out more here:

  • Traffic S.A.F.E. Program Violator Intervention Program (V.I.P.) (for persons who have been cited for non-use of child safety seats and seat belts)
  • Tráfico S.A.F.E. Programa de Infractores de Programa de Intervención (VIP) (para las personas que se han citado la falta de uso de asientos de seguridad para niños y cinturones de seguridad)
